Improbable Impulse

Our hearts placed on the shore to dry
We've put them there, so lost
broken slivers thrown about-
A detrimental cost.

The tide's returned,
The moon is black,
I see you again,
And I go back...

Back to days of eternal bliss
Where things were perfect
Nothing amiss.
I as Cinderella, and you as The Prince
Ruled my world serenely,
Or so I was convinced...

Then,
The sands of time were shifted
and buried our kingdom fair
We fought senselessly and drifted
The beginnings of despair...

And so part we our separate ways
Accloy with woe and spite
As the castle fills with sand
And leaves us erudite.

Questions, Rants, Raves? Here is the place you wanna go.
